Party host Marga Gomez (2009 Best Comedian- SF Bay Guardian) and DJ Chelsea Starr (the hottie behind SOMA’s legendary club “Hot Pants”) will mix an electric and eclectic line-up of comedians with booty shaking jams to get the crowd laughing and dancing at Café Du Nord. “Marga’s Laugh Party” is for anybody, queer or straight, who’s got a sense of humor and a little rhythm.

Marga Gomez voted “Best Comedian 2009 and 2008” in the SF Bay Guardian, is a Latina who can’t dance but loves to party. Marga’s television appearances include LOGO’S “One Night Stand-Up” and HBO’s “Comic Relief” She has also performed Off- Broadway in two solo comedies.
DJ Chelsea Starr has graced the decks of gay and straight parties all over the country from “Club Boobytrap” in LA to “That's My Jam” in NYC. Chelsea was the founder of SOMA’s “Hot Pants,” the longest running lesbian dance party in the country. In 2009 SF Weekly named her "Most fashionable person in SF."
Marcella Arguello is the “finest export from Modesto since George Lucas.” This hysterical glamazon has opened for SNL star Norm Macdonald and shared the stage with Paul Mooney. Audiences love the pairing of genuine reason with her sexy suggestion of street.
Janine Brito known for her dry, witty matter of fact style, is a fast rising comedy sensation and winner of the 2009 SF Women’s Comedy Competition.
Lynn Breedlove is a world - wide hero, comic and rock star. Lynn, the founder of the queer punk band Tribe 8, is back from a European tour of the gender bending provocative comedy “One Freak Show.” A rare treat.
Emily Heller is a comedian’s comedian. She’s the founder of “Boner Patrol” an all lady sketch troupe that has sold out many shows in San Francisco. Emily won first runner up in the 2009 SF Women’s Comedy Competition and first runner up in the “Bay Area Laugh Leader Competition.” She believes that winning isn’t everything.
Tara Jepsen and Kirk Read are the hilarious co-hosts of the critically acclaimed series K’vetsh. Besides their comedic coupling they are also writer/performers with an impressive list of credits. Tara is bringing her latest show “Groomed For Success” to New York’s Dixon Place on February 25th.
