CAFÉ DU NORD
The Café Du Nord is everything one loves about “old San Francisco.” Stepping down into the lush Victorian ambiance of our former speakeasy is like stepping back into time and with its forty-foot mahogany bar, low ceilings and heavy hand-carved beams, it is easy to visualize your attendees having a grand ole’ time in the best of Barbary Coast traditions. THE SWEDISH AMERICAN HALL
The Swedish American Hall was erected in 1907 by the famed Swedish architect, Augustus Nordin, who designed more than 350 buildings in San Francisco including the famous Buena Vista Café at Fisherman’s Wharf. Our beautiful historic building is a testament to Swedish craftsmanship and design and each of its five event rooms on three upper floors above the Café Du Nord are distinct in character and imbued in Old World charm. The Hall’s centerpiece, the Freja Ballroom, is unique and inviting with its high gabled ceiling, red skylights, heavy oak beams, ornate filigree and warm maple dance floor. A popular offering is the “Du Lux” package, which is both event spaces combined. This package is ideally suited for those who want two distinct settings under one roof. Corporate event organizers will often use the Swedish American Hall Freja Ballroom and wrap-around balcony for displays. Our raised stage areas are ideal for speakers, award ceremonies, and other featured events. Additional unique meeting spaces can be found throughout the Swedish American Building. The "Du Lux" is especially great for product promotions when you desire a more formal gathering upstairs in our ballroom, and then a rocking party for your product launch downstairs at the Café Du Nord.

Each event is personally supervised by owners, Kerry LaBelle and Guy Carson, (who collectively have more than 35 years experience in the industry), who, along with their hand-picked team of professionals produce more than 400 concerts and private events each year. FLEXIBILITY & AFFORDABILITY
Though we specialize in complete corporate events built to your personal specifications, our operation is also flexible enough to meet the needs of our “do-it-yourselfers,” particularly upstairs in the Swedish American Hall where you are free to cater and produce your own product launch or promotional concept under the watchful eyes of our Event Managers.
CENTRAL LOCATION AND ACCESSIBILITY
The Café DuNord and Swedish American Hall are located in the very heart of the City, on Market Street between Church and Sanchez Streets in the bustling, up-scale neighborhood known as the Upper Market District. Market is the major traffic corridor bisecting the City and as such is as easily accessible to the out-lying neighborhoods as it is to the Financial District or SOMA. The street is heavily trafficked by cabs throughout the evening and into the early morning hours. Half a block down is Church Street Station, a Muni Metro Subway Station which serves all lines. On the surface, a major, well-lit intersection crossing the 22 Fillmore and the F line.
PARKING AND/OR VALET PARKING ARRANGEMENTS
Reserved or valet parking can be arranged for an extra fee at one of several lots in the neighborhood. Likewise, limited curbside parking is available.
