Tickets
How do I buy tickets?
Online through TicketWeb, from each show page. Only tickets bought through cafedunord.com via TicketWeb are guaranteed entry. Tickets from other sellers may be lost, stolen or fake, and then they are void. TicketWeb's purchase policy applies.
Can I buy by phone or at the door?
By phone: TicketWeb, 1-866-468-3399.
At the door: the box office sells tickets on show day unless the show is sold out, with no online service charge. On show nights it also sells tickets for later shows, from 1 hour after doors open.
Where are my tickets?
TicketWeb emails QR-code tickets close to the show, to stop scalpers. Not in your inbox by the day before? Email concerts@cafedunord.com.
Can I change the name on a will-call ticket?
Yes, unless the show page says otherwise. Email concerts@cafedunord.com before the show. The new ticket holder brings photo ID to the box office.
Can I get a refund?
All sales are final unless the headliner or the show is cancelled. Support acts can change without a refund. Show moved to a date you can't make? Email concerts@cafedunord.com.
Do you take cash?
No. The bar and the box office are cashless: cards and phone payments only.
Show nights
Where are you?
Downstairs at 2174 Market St, San Francisco, through our own street door under the red neon sign. Shows upstairs at Swedish American Hall use the Hall's main entrance, same address. Parking, public transportation and rideshare are on the Venue page.
When does the show start and end?
Doors and show times are on the show page and your ticket. The first act usually goes on 1 hour after doors. The night ends when the last act does.
When should I get there?
At doors if you want one of the few seats or a spot by the stage. Otherwise, at show time.
What does "an evening with" mean?
No opening act. The headliner is the whole bill.
Ages and ID
What are the age limits?
Each show sets its own. It's on the show page. All ages means 6 and up.
What ID do I need?
18+ and 21+ shows need a valid driver's license, state ID card or passport. A photo of your ID doesn't count. Without valid ID we can't let you in or refund your ticket.
None of those? Bring a document with your date of birth (a birth certificate or a temporary DMV ID), plus something else with your name and photo.
What to bring
Can I bring a bag?
Yes. Door staff check bags. There's no coat check or bag storage, so pack light.
What's not allowed?
Guns, knives, liquids (even sealed bottles), food, professional cameras and confetti cannons.
A professional camera has a detachable lens, or is pro grade as judged by venue staff. For a photo pass, email concerts@cafedunord.com before the show. The artist has to approve it. No flash during the show.
Is there a dress code?
Just please wear clothes.
In the room
Is there seating?
Cafe du Nord holds 320. Shows are general admission and standing, with a few first-come seats. Upstairs at Swedish American Hall, shows are standing or seated. The show page says which.
Is there food and drink?
A full bar, and pizza to order. Ask the bar staff what's on that night.
It's loud. Can you turn it down?
Shows here are loud, and that's how we like them. Ear plugs are $1 at the bar.
Where are the restrooms?
Downstairs: 5 all-gender stalls with a shared sink, plus an accessible restroom.
Do I need a mask?
No. In line with city and state policy, masks are optional and we don't check vaccination status.
Preferred Viewing
What is Preferred Viewing?
An add-on for selected shows: access to a raised section with a clear view of the stage. At Swedish American Hall it's a reserved part of the mezzanine. You need a general admission ticket too, and numbers are limited.

Accessibility
Is Cafe du Nord accessible?
Yes. Cafe du Nord is ADA accessible. The room is downstairs, and the building's elevator serves every level: door staff will take you to it through the Swedish American Hall entrance.
There's an accessible restroom downstairs, an accessible viewing area and a companion-ticket policy.
Can you hold a space for me?
Yes. Tell us which show you're coming to with the accessibility form. Need anything else to enjoy the show? Email info@cafedunord.com before you come.
Is this website accessible?
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 at levels A and AA, and we keep working on it. Something hard to use, or need it in another format? Email info@cafedunord.com with the page and what went wrong.

Can my band play Cafe du Nord?
We book about 200 shows a year. Artists and agents, submit your music and socials.
Can I rent Cafe du Nord for an event?
Yes. The Swedish American Hall events team handles private events. See Cafe du Nord on the Swedish American Hall site.
